Australian Open tennis campaign included OOH, transit and TV. Australians loved the campaign and said that Nike, a big American cpmpany, ‘got’ the local Aussies and their irreverent sense of humor. People also wanted to buy the posters as artwork.
Nike 27K’s produced for Nike Japan, featured superstar pitcher, Hideo Nomo who strikes out 27 players with a single pitch. The campaign infiltrated Japanese pop-culture deeply and, for the first time, young Japanese kids started breaking the law to steal OOH boards and posters.
