We put the DC logo in the center of a campaign of iconic characters and took over New York, Los Angeles, and Comic Con.

IDEA
DC Comics has been at the core of culture for decades. But with so many new superhero shows and movies saturating the market, there was confusion. So, to introduce DC’s new streaming platform, we put the DC logo smack in the center of iconic DC content and characters you can find on the app.
We created massive outdoor boards all over New York, Los Angeles, and Comic Con, as well as murals and wild postings. In San Diego for Comic Con, the campaign took over airport terminals, with bus wraps and pedi-cab makeovers all around town.
We also built a simple digital tool to let fans engage with the campaign. The worDCreator let people upload a photo, create a “wordsmash” word and share it on social media. DC fans like Kevin Smith and Kalet Cuoco helped spead the word.
RESULTS
Fans loved the campaign, engaged with the app and bought the merch.
